It’s been just over 24 hours here and we have seen high winds, pouring rain and bright sun.
We walked into Old Town yesterday but the weather did not play nice. We saw about half of the area before the sky got very dark and the wind picked up. It was so bad the cable car stopped running. The upside was that a lot of the tourists did not venture out.

This morning the sun was out so we decided to hike up Srd hill overlooking the town. This option also saved us the $48 each for the 3 minute cable car ride. It was a rocky climb with lots of switchbacks, this after the climb from our place to the trailhead. Each switchback had a large relief plaque with a station of the cross.

Once up to the top, the 360 degree views were impressive.

By the time we headed down it was that much warmer and more crowded. We headed into old town where the crowds were so much bigger than yesterday. The problem seems to be the endless groups of cruise ship tours that take up so much space. What seemed odd was all the shops were closed because it was Sunday. The bars and restaurants were open and packed.

Tomorrow we plan to head to a cove near our hotel for one last swim in the Adriatic Sea.

Love reading your blog- the pics and narratives are great! Wish I was there☀️
