TOUR NOTES
This morning we will head to the impressive island of Korcula. Korcula claims to be the birthplace of Marco Polo and his name can be seen all over the island.
After lunch we’ll begin our ride from Racisce to the village of Lumbarda, well known for its wine production. The peaceful and secluded gardens of cypress trees along the route make cycling in Korcula a memorable experience.
The final destination is the medieval town of Korcula, with its attractive narrow streets and this is where we spend the night onboard the ship.
This is a day late and missing pictures. We have an internet problem so content isn’t loading well at all. Better to send this out us. Hopefully I get today’s up later this evening🙄
In the meantime here is yesterday….
A much gentler day we out just rolling hills. The views of the ocean and vineyards spectacular.
The town of Lumbarda, our port for the night is my favourite to date. Lots of medieval walls, towers and narrow passages. Lots of super yachts docked here but the port can’t handle the big cruise ships. That’s bonus.
We wandered around and met some nice people from New Zealand and the UK. A lively discussion ensued over the state of the world. They were amazing at the craziness of our friends to the south. One of the men was a firefighter who had been in Manitoba helping with fire fighting up near Cross Lake. Small world.

We had quite a chat with some Brits in Florida this winter. Same reactions. Just shows how out of touch with the rest of the world Americans are.
