Tour free day
Our last day in La Fortuna and nothing on the schedule.
Colin and a few others decided to do a hiking tour up the volcano. Problem was, like every other day here, it’s hidden in the fog. The views were trees, fog and a few rocks. The tree roots were the highlight. You can only go part way up to where the 2010 eruption ended. Soon after, the rain started again. It has rained at least 12 hours of each day we have been here.
Alison and I decided to book a massage at the spa in the hotel. The setting was fantastic, the deep tissue massage, not so deep. The bonus was the private thermal pools, saunas and cold plunges. The extra bonus, we could each bring a guest to enjoy the space.
A nice low key day. Off to Monteverde in the morning.
