Nominique to Mont Tremblant

Tuesday, September 9 | 68 km | 159 m elevation

Day started with a great breakfast at the auberge. Nice easy pace along lakes and rapids. A lot more people and homes along the route, but not a lot of services. It wasn’t until Tremblant we found a local beer on a sunny patio.

We had another 10 km to our motel for the night. It was about now we realized it was right on the highway and the only access was a 1.5 km ride along with big semi’s whizzing by. This, and the fact there were no restaurants nearby, made our frugality-based decision for the $99/room deal a problem.

Even though it was only 4 pm, we picked up meals at the Quebec equivalent of Swiss Chalet and hit the highway. Safe and sound, Motel 149 does the job. I think their sign tells you everything you need to know about the place. It’s up for sale if anyone is interested.
