Lots of exploring these past two days. Monday we took a train west to see Belem Tower and the sculpture commentating the 500th anniversary of Henry the Navigator’s death. Two very different structures but both stunning. We had day passes so we got on trains, trams and the metro for most of the day.
Today, we went east to the Thieves Market. A multi block flea market and yes, more monasteries. The flea market had anything you could want and a lot we didn’t want. Cool antiques to broken tools. More wandering and me adding to my obsessive photo library of house tiles!

We went to that same flea market in Lisboa – Jordan got a beautiful tile and I found a print of the city by a local print maker. I also took photos of all the tiles while we were there – still not sure what I am going to do with them, but glad I took them.
