Happy birthday mom!
After 23 hours of travel we made it with some great stories along the way. Poor Bizz seemed to have all the bad luck. Delayed two hours out of Winnipeg, then this morning, finds her luggage is still in Toronto. There is hope it will arrive tomorrow, maybe…..
Things picked up when we took a cab from the airport. Our driver Tony could have had his own comedy show. Lots of family stories about his missing gran, who wasn’t missing, but in the pub, his wife that can’t cook and his son calling mid ride looking for money to buy lunch. Irish entertainment at its finest. he dropped us at the hotel and wished us well.
Norma (mom) having been such a trooper all this time decided she needed a nap. That left Bizz and I on our own. The sun is out and it’s 25 degrees out so we found ourselves a table outside a pub and ordered a well earned Guinness.
Dinner and early bedtime tonight.
Glad all, but luggage, is well.
