Val David to Saint-Jérôme

Thursday, September 11 | 49 km | 86 m elevation

Great way to end our tour today. Perfect weather and an easy downhill ride. What was really nice was that we got up early so we had the trail for ourselves. We cycled along to one of the old station cafes actually open for breakfast. We found out later that most business along the route close up after the September long weekend. Seems a shame since in a few weeks the fall colours will be amazing.

Our route was along a river most of the way and every once in a while there were rapids with places to park and explore.

We arrived back at mile zero in Saint-Jérôme just before lunch. It was a quick loading of the car and back to Montreal for the night.

We stopped at Le 9e for a cocktail and a snack. This spot is in the old Eaton’s building and was designed in the art deco style by Lady Eaton who wanted guests to feel like they were on a grand ship. All of the design details are still there and you feel you are in that grand era. More here on the building history – Eatons

Our room this time around at the hotel is in the 24th floor and the city views beautiful. A great end to our trip.
