Wednesday, September 10 | 58 km | 326 m elevation
Today was shorter, but also a whole lot of uphill the first half. It just kept going up. The reward, 35 km of easy down.
There was a lot more rural charm along the route today, cafes, small shops etc. Had a great lunch in Sainte Agathe and toured the village. We were ahead of schedule so lots of time to look around.
Our stop for the night is Val David, another lovely village. We had booked into the Radisson Hotel but upon arrival it appears we checked into Le Radisson, which is not the same thing. Much like last night’s accommodation, a classic 70’s motel. Anyway, big room, clean and next door to a group of eight cyclists from Vancouver. The next joke on us, seems like most of the restaurants here are closed on Wednesdays.

The village itself is lovely though. We even found a printmaking studio. We also found a great restaurant with an outdoor patio. Full of locals and great food.
Tomorrow, it’s only 40 km back to the car in Saint Jérôme. From there, it’s back to Montreal for the night.
Cheers
