Arrived late in the day just in time for rush hour gridlock. Our Uber driver seemed unfazed and zig zagged his way to the hotel dodging pedestrians and cyclists at high speed.
I asked him if he spoke English and his response was “I am in France so I speak French” silence . . .
Apparently our hotel is in the bar zone. Lots and lots of people packed into stand up patios. No one seemed to be eating, just lots of cocktails.
Found a small restaurant off the square with great food and wine.
Hope to get moving early and do some exploring before our afternoon train to Beziers.
