I completed my BFA in 1983 at the University of Manitoba as a Graphic Design major. I loved design but also found myself spending a lot of time in the printmaking and letterpress studios.

Upon graduation I spent over twenty years in design industry. In the early 2000’s an opportunity came up to teach a course at Red River Polytech. One course became two, and then quickly became a full-time teaching position. I spent fifteen years in the design department teaching courses in software, production, design and, after a few years became the program’s coordinator. It was a busy time but incredibly rewarding and inspiring working with students. At the same time, it left little time to work on my projects.

In January 2021 I decided it was time to get to moving on all those projects in my head and began to plan for retirement on the west coast. I had always wanted to live near the water and the dream was finally realized in July 2021.  I now have the time to paint and to explore projects using my letterpress collection in one of the most beautiful spots in Canada.

This site showcases two facets of my work.
